Paul Heyman appeared on MMA Hour Monday and he addressed CM Punk quitting the WWE while speaking candidly about how the "Best in the World" was done with wrestling and that the WWE didn't want him back.

Heyman told the program that Punk's goal in life is to never lace up his wrestling boots ever again for the WWE or any other promotion. Punk isn't interested in appearing for the WWE, Ring of Honor, Japan or any other promotion.

Heyman also revealed that Punk believed if he'd return he would be a failure and that his success predicates on never going back to the wrestling world.

Heyman said that he believes that the WWE doesn't want Punk back either after he walked out on them back in January despite his contract not expiring until last month. There is always the chance that as the years go by both sides change their stances, but Heyman believes as of right now that the WWE wants nothing to do with Punk.

It is said that even right now if Punk decided it was time to return, the WWE wouldn't want him back due to him breaching his contract. There is the possibility that the company takes legal action against him for failing to fulfill his deal.

Punk's contract with the WWE officially expired last month, though he hasn't been an active WWE competitor since he walked out on the WWE in January prior to a live Monday Night RAW telecast on the night after the Royal Rumble.

Punk walked out on the company due to his ongoing frustration over how his character was being booked and due to being burned out from the constant travel schedule. Following his contract expiring, it was said that things between Punk and the WWE were worse than ever even though his wife AJ Lee returned to the company in June.

The "Best in the World" has enjoyed many outside ventures since leaving, including television appearances while he's also popped up at his hometown Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks games.

Since his schedule has cleared up, Punk was able to appear at the AP Music Awards last month where he said he was "never ever" returning to the WWE, and he also worked at Comic Con in San Diego on behalf of Nerdist, during which he said on his Twitter account that he hasn't had "this much fun in a long time."

Punk was the one who chose to leave the WWE and doesn't have any desire to come back while it seems as though the company's interest in the "Best in the World" is gone.
