2014 Washington Redskins Preview:

Offseason Additions: WR DeSean Jackson, WR Andre Roberts, OT Bruce Campbell, DE/DT Jason Hatcher, S Ryan Clark, S Brandon Meriweather, OT Morgan Moses,

Offseason Losses: WR Josh Morgan, C/G Will Montgomery, DE/DT Adam Carriker, ILB London Fletcher, P Sav Rocca.

Washington Redskins Offense:
Rushing Robert Griffin III back from his ACL injury doomed the Redskins' entire season and they didn’t even get the No. 2 overall pick for their troubles. Jay Gruden is the new sheriff in town and early reviews are that the players are responding well to the new style of play. RGIII has all of his toys back in the form of Alfred Morris and Pierre Garcon, but also has a brand new star in DeSean Jackson. The Redskins did everything they could to get better on offense and it starts with keeping RGIII on his feet for 16 games.

Washington Redskins Defense:
The Redskins are going to have a hard time replacing London Fletcher’s leadership, but finding someone to replace his production should be relatively simple. The Redskins still have a very below average secondary and added a ragtag group who will be lucky to play all 16 games. The defensive line is this team’s strength with Brian Orakpo and Jason Hatcher poised to have another superb season. Washington’s defense was near the bottom last season are will have a hard time being that bad again.

Outlook: The season lives and dies on RGIII and his ability to return to his rookie season form. Washington has done everything in their power to improve, but only time will tell if it will translate to wins. Jay Gruden has the team excited to get back to how they played in 2012, not 2013, and that could be exactly what the doctor ordered. RGIII and the offense have to carry this team while the defense finds playmakers to dig that unit out of the basement in the NFL.

Fantasy Outlook:
Robert Griffin III No. 68 Overall, No. 7 QB
Alfred Morris No. 22 Overall, No. 12 RB
Pierre Garcon No. 37 Overall, No. 13 WR
DeSean Jackson No. 53 Overall, No. 22 WR
Jordan Reed No. 80 Overall, No. 7 TE
Roy Helu No. 179 Overall, No. 60 RB

Prediction: 8-8 (T-2nd in AFC South)
