Tiger Woods was forced to withdraw from the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, but he hasn't ruled out playing in the PGA Championship this weekend.
Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg sent a text message to ESPN.com and said that it is too soon to make a call on Tiger’s availability for the year’s last major tournament.

"Way too early. He has to rest and get treatment and then assess later," he wrote. "Pointless to make that decision now without proper time to give him best chance. Nothing further today, maybe [not] even tomorrow.”
Bad news just keeps coming for Woods as Ryder Cup U.S. captain Tom Watson said that Tiger's injury “doesn't bode well right now” for his chances to make the team. Woods injured his back in only his third tournament since his return from surgery and said he ‘jarred it’ when he hopped into a bunker on the fairway.
Woods was in visible pain after his tee shot on the ninth and grimaced after attempting to pick his tee off of the ground. Woods won the PGA Championship when it was at Valhalla in 2000 and if he doesn't compete it will put an end to his 2014 season.
If Tiger Woods doesn't play the PGA Champ, it would be the 1st time since 1995 that he fails to post a top-30 finish in a major in a year. — ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) August 4, 2014
