Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is not discounting the possibility of going back to his old club Manchester United, adding he still loves that team.
Ronaldo made the big switch from Man Utd to Real Madrid in 2008 with a deal that made him the most expensive soccer player in the world. But despite all the acclaims he has had in Spain, CR7 says he still treasures his memories in Old Trafford.
Ronaldo to MUT V, as quoted by The Guardian UK: "It was one of my favorite clubs, Manchester [United]. Everyone knows that every time when I speak about Real Madrid I should speak about Manchester United, I loved it there. I was 18 years old [when I joined], I won everything there, the people treat me like a god so I appreciate it, and in the future nobody knows."
He was also a bit nostalgic during the interview, citing the many happy moments he has with the club. He adds that he is still in contact with some of his former teammate. "And it was like my second family there too so I'll not forget that the people treat me well. I'll not forget."
He added: "I love Manchester, to be back, I never know, you never know. Of course I'm happy at Real Madrid, it's my home, it's my club but Manchester treat me unbelievable so we never know."
Real Madrid and Manchester United are scheduled to meet on Saturday in an International Champions Cup meeting, and while Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has ruled him out for the game, CR7 says there's a chance he will play.
"We have discussed to put me on, but let's see, I want to playbit a little bit because it's my ex-club," he said
