Update: Indiana Pacers' Paul George Expected to Miss Entire NBA Season After Suffering Leg Injury

The Team USA Blue and White game was marred by a horrific injury to Indiana Pacers star forward Paul George. Emergency technicians with stretchers were required to transport George from the court to a nearby hospital after George’s leg hit the base of the hoop as he contested a layup.

The glorified scrimmage was called off after George was taken off the court, with head coach Mike Krzyzewski announcing out of respect to him and his family they’d stop playing. George was expected to be a starter for the American team and was among the top players into the entire NBA.

Last season George had the best season of his career, averaging 21.7 points with 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists. In the postseason his numbers rose slightly, to 22.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.2 steals.
