American golfer Dustin Johnson has been suspended six months by the PGA for testing positive for cocaine only a day after going on a leave of absence to "seek professional help" for "personal challenges” he is facing.
According to Golf.com, Johnson will be suspended from the tour for six months and this is his third violation since 2009. Johnson’s failed drug tests were from marijuana in 2009 and two for cocaine, in 2012 and 2014.
In 2012, Johnson also took a leave of absence, but in reality it was a suspension from his first positive test for cocaine. The PGA does not have to reveal any disciplinary actions against players who test positive for recreational drugs.

Another source told Golf.com that Johnson has had at least one affair with another PGA tour player's wife and that it broke up the marriage.
“Johnson's conduct has long been a topic of conversation among close observers of the Tour. He is often seen in bars near his home in Jupiter, Fla., and is also known to have had a sexual indiscretion with at least one wife of a PGA Tour player.”
Johnson cannot golf again for six months and it is unknown if he will return to the course after he serves his suspension.
