Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti made it clear on Thursday that outfielder Matt Kemp will not be traded and will be with the team for the rest of the season.

Dodgers Looking at Padres' Benoit?

Colletti stated that he never said that Kemp was available and that the team is focused on bringing in pitching without giving up a major bat.

"Nobody's heard me say we're trading Matt Kemp," Colletti said. "Nobody's heard me say we're shopping Matt Kemp. Nobody's heard me say that. That's all in another world."

After putting all the Kemp rumors to bed, Colletti addressed the top three prospects in the Dodger farm system. If the Dodgers were to add a big name arm like David Price it would more than likely have to include center fielder Joc Pederson, shortstop Corey Seager or left-handed pitcher Julio Urias.

Colletti said that the team hasn't discussed a trade involving any of their top prospects.

"At this point in time, we're not in the market to trade any of the three, period," Colletti said. "There's been no player that we've discussed that warrants two of the three, three of the three. Otherwise, we'd be having a different meeting right now.”

The Dodgers aren't in a situation where they have to add talent to compete as they hold the National League's best record at 61-47. Adding talent would be the icing on the cake for the Dodgers as they look to hold off the St. Louis Cardinals for home-field advantage (1 1/2 games back) and the San Francisco Giants in the National League West (3 games back).
