Miami Heat president Pat Riley has been calm, cool and collected since losing LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers and he thinks the Heat will be fine this coming season.

Cavaliers Expected to Trade for Love on August 23

Riley spoke with a select group of media members via a 40 minute teleconference and said that the team is in a good place without James.

“People in this country have the right to do what they want to do, and he went home,” said Riley "We respected that, but it was a tough blow to take. After 45 years of being in the league, I have been around 15 transcendent players who have walked out the door. You move on. We've recovered very well and will continue to recover.”

One player in particular that Riley was happy to talk about was Chris Bosh. Riley said he was hellbent on bringing Bosh back and he wasn't going to let him leave without a fight.

"He's the most versatile big man in the NBA," said Riley of Bosh. "I'll be damned if I was going to let him walk out the door, and he didn't want to.”

The Heat didn't sit back in free agency after James left for home and are expected to have a lineup that has Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Chris Andersen, Mario Chalmers big-money free agent signing Luol Deng and rookie Shabazz Napier.

Kevin Durant Washington D.C. Bound?

The Heat are a far cry from the team they were last season, but for a team that lost the best player in the game, they look to be in the thick of the it in a mediocre Eastern Conference.
