When Minnesota trades All-Star power forward Kevin Love it will be to Cleveland. The Cavaliers have emerged as the final team in the Love sweepstakes, according to ESPN.com.
Golden State continues to show no interest in parting with sharpshooting guard Klay Thompson, and Chicago has backed out of the trade-for-Love frenzy.
Cleveland is offering a package that includes 2014 No. 1 overall Draft pick Andrew Wiggins, and the Timberwolves realize they aren't likely to get a better deal from another team, so the Cavs will get Love.

A Minnesota-Cleveland deal can't be consummated until after Aug. 23; that's when Wiggins, who recently signed a contract with the Cavaliers, becomes eligible to be traded.
While it's clear that Cleveland is the likely destination for Love, who can become an unrestricted free agent in 2015, this recent revelation does not come as a surprise. The Cavaliers have been rated the team most likely to land Love for awhile.
Besides, the Cavs and NBA's best player LeBron James has made it known that he wants to play alongside Love next season. And Love has been open that he wants to be James' teammate in Cleveland. The two have talked this offseason about the possibility of being teammates.
League rules prevent either the Cavaliers or Timberwolves from openly discussing a deal that involves Wiggins, due to his rookie-contract status.
The 6-foot-10, 245-pound Love is regarded as one of the premier big men in the NBA. A three-time All-Star, Love averaged 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds last season.
