Howard showed he has a talent for analyzing soccer as well as playing in his time in Brazil and made seven appearances as a guest between games. Howard will still serve his contract as starting goalkeeper for Everton FC, but will also cover 10 “top-tier” games for NBC Sports.

Pierre Moossa, coordinating producer of NBC Sports Group’s Premier League coverage, said that the addition of Howard is a fantastic one for the station and believes it will pay dividends almost immediately.

“Tim had an impressive debut on our telecasts last season and we are excited to have him join our Premier League team on a more extensive basis,” said Moossa “As an active Premier League player, he contributes unique perspective and insight to our broadcasts.”

Howard’s schedule with NBC Sports will revolve around his schedule with Everton and the station made it a point to mention that in his seven appearances on-air last season the team went 6-1.

The New Jersey native will have on-site analysis in the broadcasting booth as well as studio work and will be the face of American soccer as he was during the World Cup. NBC Sports will look to use Howard to attract much of the audience that was caught up in the World Cup fever and to continue the growth of the sport in America.
