Abraham hasn't reported to Arizona Cardinals training camp and has missed the first three days of practice as well as a conditioning test. Head coach Bruce Arians said that Abraham is excused from practice and said that it is a “personal” matter. Arians didn't speak any further concerning Abraham and it is unknown if the DUI and his absence are related.

Abraham was listed at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds in the jail records, which is 40 pounds less than what the Cardinals have him measured at in their records. Abraham’s arrest makes him subject to discipline under the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Abraham was also arrested in 2012 in Atlanta on charges of obstruction and in 2003 on charges of driving while intoxicated.

Abraham signed with the Cardinals in 2013 after spending seven seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. Abraham recorded 11.5 sacks in 2013 and ranks ninth all-time in sacks with 133.5. Abraham also made his fifth career Pro Bowl in his 14 years of NFL service.
