Batista is currently on hiatus from the WWE to promote Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but should be back soon and "The Animal" recently spoke about Steve "Sting" Borden joining the WWE family as well as his own eventual retirement from the ring.

Batista spoke with the U.K.'s Daily Mail about Sting joining the WWE and the possibility of facing him in the ring if and when Sting does decide to lace up his boots and get back inside the squared circle.

"I don't know where Sting would fit in the spectrum of things. I've never even met him," Batista said about the possibility of meeting him in the ring. "I would hope so. I've been a fan throughout the years. We've speculated a lot, we've thought he was going to come to the WWE years ago so just speaking as a fan I'd like to see it."

SWN's Projected SummerSlam 2014 Card

Sting was revealed as a playable character in the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game, but he also said that he hopes to one day step into the ring for one final match. He has always said that he wants to face The Undertaker, but after he lost The Streak to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX, 'Taker's career is up in the air.

The Undertaker may be retired after losing to Lesnar in April and sustaining injuries during the match, and Batista touched on his own retirement from the ring and how much time he has left.

"I kind of have my wish list of guys that I would like to work with, because I realize my career is not going to be that long if I do go back just because physically...realistically, I'm 45 years old now, how much longer can I continue? You do take a beating in professional wrestling. But I love it," he said.

"The Animal" also said he'd like to face Triple H one final time possibly in his last match.

"It's not 'will I go back?' it's 'when will I go back,'" he said. ''Hopefully it won't be far too long. Triple H right now is the guy I really want to work with. I want to go back and that's hopefully that'll be my retirement program. Yeah, I'll have my WrestleMania retirement match with Triple H."

Batista is expected to return to the ring sometime within the next year, but what his exact role is and how long he decides to stay remains up in the air.
