The Boston Red Sox are rumored to be sellers at the trade deadline, but that hasn't stopped the rumor mill from naming them as the top team to land Los Angeles Dodgers Matt Kemp.

The Dodgers and Red Sox are reportedly pursuing a trade that would bring the oft-injured outfielder to Boston in exchange for Jon Lester. A top ranking evaluator said that kemp would be primed to thrive in Fenway Park, but only if he can shake off his injury issues.

"If he's healthy," one top talent evaluator said "he would absolutely destroy that ballpark [Fenway Park]."

Lester is the real draw for the Dodgers as he is a top-flight arm that the team covets. Lester would fit right in with the Dodgers, but will Los Angeles be willing to eat a major amount go Kemp’s contract?

Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti believes anything is possible and it is also possible that the team won’t make a move at all.

“We’ve still got a club that's solid, that still has upside to it, so I think there's still more in this club. Have we won four in a row yet? I think there's still a strong run in this club as it's currently constituted. That said, we've been historically active in July and August, sometimes, and we'll continue to see what else we can do."

Kemp was limited to 73 games in 2013 and has had two operations on his left shoulder since 2012 and another on his left ankle in October. Kemp is batting .273 with 8 home runs and 5 stolen bases in 2014.
