WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross is back with another blog at Jrsbarbq.com where he discusses Daniel Bryan's big year, TNA losing its television deal with Spike TV and more.

Two New Matches Rumored For SummerSlam

Ross touched on Bryan's big year as he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX and married Brie Bella before being sidelined by a neck injury in mid-May. Bryan revealed at Comic Con in San Diego last week that there is no update on his injury and he isn't sure when he'll return as a second surgery could be needed.

"Daniel Bryan has had a helluva, memorable year....main eventing WrestleMania, getting married, losing his Dad, undergoing neck surgery, subduing a home invader this week and now apparently needling an additional surgery to get him back in the ring," Ross wrote. "It's not beyond the realm of comprehension that it could be 2015 until he's back in a WWE ring. Nonetheless it gives his body a chance to heal and for Bryan and his bride to enjoy life off the road to some degree. The glass can't always be looked upon as half empty even though DB will be missed by his fans."

Ross also discussed TNA's television deal with Spike TV not being renewed and the future state of Impact Wrestling.

"It's curious that Spike hasn't renewed Impact Wrestling as of yet for the new, fall season," Ross blogged. "That's not a great sign and I hope that they do renew their relationship. Spike doesn't have an [overabundance] of shows that draw a million viewers in prime time each week. That number could be escalated easily over time."

Ross also touched on the negative feedback that Rusev and Lana received in the media after their anti-American promo at Battleground earlier this month, and came to the defense of the heel characters.

"The Lana & Rusev controversy is overblown in my view" Ross wrote. "They are fictional characters who are neither Russian. Could the writers have been smarter and more conservative in light of the recent tragedy? Absolutely. But is this a major travesty? Not even close. That's my take."

Ross also gave his opinion on last week's episode of Impact Wrestling and an update on his one man shows. The full blog can be read here.
