Two clubs in the Western Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the Vancouver Whitecaps and FC Dallas. The first-division clash scheduled for 5 p.m. ET will be held at BC Place in Vancouver and can be live streamed here.
FC Dallas enter today riding a five-match unbeaten run. The latest victory, a 2-0 undressing of the New England Revolution, led to high praise from head coach Oscar Pareja. "The group is seeing more solidness defending, which is something that we needed to improve," he said (via MLS's official website). "In the league so far, even in the times when we were struggling, we were scoring most, and today was very solid defensively."
"We set the bar high today and we know we can do it," Pareja added. "We have a good stretch of games, the youngsters are playing very well and I'm very happy to see these guys taking advantage of the opportunity and making this club proud."
More solid defending will be required if FC Dallas are to continue their scorching form in Vancouver.
