The rich keep getting richer, with ABC (via Goal Transfer Talk) reporting that French outfit AS Monaco is considering loaning striker Radamel Falcao to Real Madrid. The deal would last one year, with Los Blancos having the option to buy the Colombian international at season's end.

Falcao joined Monaco in last summer's transfer window for £51 million after contributing 52 goals in 68 appearances for Atletico Madrid. Now, a return to the Spanish capital is in the cards. Except this time, it's the proverbial muscle of Real the striker will be flexing.
Last year in France, the 28-year-old only managed to feature in 17 matches due to injury. In them, Falcao managed to contribute nine goals and an average of 2.2 fouls drawn per match. Ultimately and unfortunately, the ligament damage he suffered in January cup game kept him from participating in Colombia's magical World Cup run in Brazil.

Now, his focus has returned to club form. In Ligue 1, Falcao would remain Monaco's premier attacking option. The same cannot be said should he make a return to La Liga. In addition to Madrid's embarrassment of riches—including Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez—Falcao would be in direct competition with striker Karim Benzema for minutes.
Stiff competition awaits him in the Spanish capital, but so too will the opportunity to capture titles.
