Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has taken his life into his own hands and has checked himself into a rehabilitation center. Gordon checked into the center soon after his DUI arrest and is expected to attend Browns training camp on Friday.

According to Fox Sports’ Mike Garafolo, Gordon checked into the center and is attempting to take a step in the right direction. Gordon is facing a season long suspension from the NFL for his numerous violations of the league’s personal conduct policy.

Gordon is schedule to appeal his one year suspension and his hearing is set for August 1. Browns coach Mike Pettine says he expects Gordon at training camp, but also said the team is ready for the worst case scenario.

"It is concerning and you want to address it, but until we know where he stands with the league we don't know really where he stands with us," Pettine said Monday. "I've stated before that we've had the meetings, we've discussed all the options, from the best case to the worst case. And we're still in that mode of waiting.”

Despite playing in only 14 games, Gordon caught 87 balls for a league high 1,646 yards with nine touchdowns. Gordon is seen as one of the brightest young stars in the NFL, but his frequent off the field issues could cut that promising career short.
