Daniel Bryan has been sidelined since mid-May with a neck injury and his timetable for a return is up in the air following surgery. Bryan appeared alongside Hulk Hogan, Paul Heyman and Sting at Comic Con on Thursday and spoke about his return to action and meeting Sting.
Sting Makes Surprise Appearance At Comic Con
Bryan revealed recently that he may have to undergo a second surgery since he hasn't fully recovered from his neck injury and hasn't regained full feeling in his arms. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion told IGN at Comic Con that everything is up in the air right now.
"Nobody really knows the prognosis," Bryan said. "A bunch of different people have different prognosis's so I'm just doing the best I can. Actually, my days are very busy. Every bit as busy as they were when I'm wrestling because i get up, I go to physical therapy number one. I come back, I go to physical therapy number two, then I go to an acupuncturist, then I go to an AART guy. Then Brie [Bella] needs my attention and then [his dog] Josie needs my attention. And so the days get filled up really quick, but it's been weird not being on the road because I've been on the road my entire adult life."
Speculation On Nikki Bella Heel Turn
Bryan, who revealed that his autobiography will come out around next March for WrestleMania 31, was asked if the upcoming season of Total Divas would touch on his recovery from the neck surgery and he said it might, but it won't be the main focus.
"I'm sure there will be some of it but Total Divas is focused more on Brie," Bryan said. "It's Brie-centered as opposed to Bryan-centered and I like that because I don't like the cameras always in my face. So there might be a little bit of it, but it's not like a major focal point I don't think."
Bryan was also asked about Sting, who officially joined the WWE family and was making his first public appearance for the company alongside Bryan on Thursday.
"I loved watching Sting when I was young," Bryan said. "It's just interesting because I've been wrestling for 15 years and it's the first time I've ever met him. Our paths have never crossed, so it's just interesting...It was literally the first time I ever shook his hand. So it was really nice to meet him."
Bryan's return to the ring is very much up in the air, but the WWE Superstar seems to be taking each step with a positive approach.
