Two clubs in opposite conferences of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the New York Red Bulls and San Jose Earthquakes. The first-division clash scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET will be held at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey and can be live streamed here.
Both clubs enter today's match looking to rebound from Week 18 losses. For the Red Bulls, it was poor defending that cost the club three points against the Philadelphia Union. According to goalkeeper Luis Robles, it's going to take time for the club's center-back pairing of Jamison Olave and Matt Miazga to perfect their partnership.
"The concept with the two backs in there it's just experience that's going to take time," Robles said (via MLS's official website). "Usually you have preseason to do this, but we're at midseason to do this with an important stretch of games right now. So, we're going to go back to the training pitch and recover a bit and then play again in less than 72 hours," he added.
"This is the part of the season where you start getting some separation or things continue to get tighter. We had a big opportunity to move ahead a few a points and we didn't."
