Caroline Wozniacki went through a period in her life when high heels did not seem fitting. Those days are over.

Rory McIlroy's reported girlfriend in car accident; McIlroy tight-lipped

The Daily Mail reported that the Danish tennis star posted a photo of herself and a friend in shopping in Istanbul on her Instagram account, taking a jab at former fiancé Rory McIlroy by wearing high heels.

Wozniacki said she was wearing high heels for the first time in three years. The reason? She is two inches taller than McIlroy, according to the Daily Mail and looked much taller than McIlroy when she wore heels.

The Daily Mail posted comparison photos of how the couple looked when Wozniacki wore high heels and when she didn't.

Carolina Wozniacki also dating after breakup with Rory McIlroy?

Posted along wither her photo on Instagram, Wozniacki included the caption, "Out and about in Istanbul. It's been three years since I have worn high heels on a normal day out. #feelsgood #looksgood #shopping #highheels #sun."

According to the Daily Mail, she later deleted the post on Instagram. She said she didn't want to be considered a victim in the breakup with McIlroy, but the hurt feeling obviously have lingered.

If McIlroy was bothered by the post, he certainly didn't show it at the British Open. He fired a 6-under 66 for the second consecutive round - and on a Friday where he came into the event ranked 181st in scoring on Friday.

He has a four-stroke lead halfway through the season's third major tournament.

The post apparently didn't affect Wozniacki, either. The top seed advanced to the semifinals of the Istanbul Open on Friday, defeating No. 8-seeded Karolina Pliskova 6-1, 3-6, 6-2.
