Two clubs chasing the Apertura Liga MX title will do battle today in a league match between Queretaro and the Pumas of UNAM. The first-division clash scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET will be held at Corregidora Stadium in Queretaro and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on ESPN Deportes.
After failing to qualify for the 2014 Clausura Liguilla, Queretaro returns to the pitch today with ambitions of completing the job this tournament. A stiff test, however, awaits them in the form of the Pumas of UNAM. Manager Ignacio Ambriz understands that it will take perfection from his men to open the campaign without blemish.
"We face a very tough opponent [Pumas] with a great footballing reputation, who always play with intensity," Ambriz said in a press conference (via El Siglo). "And if we win, we have to make a match of zero errors and stay focused for 90 minutes or more and try to overcome them."
"Our biggest goal with this team is that we qualify [for the Liguilla]," he added. "We put together a good team, but now we have to try and play and hopefully play well."
