The reign of Iker Casillas at the Santiago Bernabeu is on its last legs, with Marca reporting a €10 million purchase of Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas. The official announcement is pending and will come as soon as the services of Diego Lopez have been transferred out of the Spanish capital.

Napoli and AS Monaco are the two clubs reportedly interested in the 32-year-old.

Navas, however, isn't the only goalkeeper Real Madrid are targeting. Per Javier Alba of Antena 3 (via Inside Spanish Football), the reigning European champions have also inquired about the services Espanyol's Kiko Casilla. Both transfers would see manager Carlo Ancelotti replace one pair of dueling goalkeepers for another, albeit five years younger.

As big a name as Iker Casillas has been at the Bernabeu, the transfer of Keylor Navas wouldn't serve as a downgrade. The 27-year-old ended the 2014 World Cup as a tournament standout, leading all goalkeepers in save percentage (91.3 percent) and goals conceded (two).

His resume isn't limited to such a minuscule sample, either.
