Sting has reportedly had a WWE contract in his possession but has taken his time in signing it, but according to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Sting has comes to terms with the WWE on licensing for something beyond just his inclusion in the video game, in which Sting is a playable character with both his black and white face paint look and old school "surfer" look.

The WWE has released a new T-shirt for Sting and 2K Sports reportedly spent $20,000 on the video to promote Sting's inclusion in the upcoming game. Several months ago a casting call which called for Sting body doubles and an orchestra leaked, and it turns out that the call was for the Sting WWE 2K15 commercial.

A lot of fans in the crowd at the Richmond Coliseum Monday night in Virginia booed the announcement due to their disappointment that Sting didn't make his in-person WWE debut on RAW.

2K Sports has also released the first concept art for Sting in the game which can be viewed here.

The WWE posted a video on RAW fallout of Superstars talking about Sting in the video game.

"I'm gonna be in the same video game as Sting, this is gonna be sick," Xavier Woods said.

Added Zack Ryder: "I'm a big video game fan but an even bigger Sting fan...Sting is back in the WWE family and I can't wait to buy the video game."

"It's insane," Kofi Kingston said. "I was getting goosebumps because I was such a big Sting fan."

Added Big E: "I felt [the goosebumps] too. I grew up on Sting."

While a Sting vs. Undertaker match didn't happen at WrestleMania XXX, there is early speculation that Sting may appear at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 and possibly be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
