Michael Irvin fired back at Cris Carter for stating that the Cleveland Browns should cut Josh Gordon and he didn’t hold back. In the heat of the moment, Irvin fired off a personal story about Carter that involves Irvin’s wife.

Irvin spoke about the Gordon drama on the Dan LeBatard Show and how he felt disrespected that Carter said the Browns' wide receiver should lose his job due to a mistake. Irvin said that Carter’s voice carries more weight than he knows and he could turn the public against Gordon if he says the wrong things.

Irvin then referred back to a situation from when the two Hall of Fame receivers were active involving Irvin’s wife.

"I'm going to put a little personal on this even though I love Cris to death. I don't know what year it was we were in the Pro Bowl. And all Cris is trying to do, he's just trying to share his experiences," Irvin said. "He said to my wife -- he said to my wife --you know, Michael would never come out of this problem until you leave him. Till you leave him. For years, I've held it. I've never shared that with anybody. I've never in my life shared that with anybody. I was so irked with Cris because he was out of line then. His ass is out of line now. He is out. of. line.”

Irvin said that he never confronted Carter about the situation and that Carter doesn’t know that he knows about the conversation. These two are major football icons in the media so it should be quite the scene when the two see each other in public the first time. Buckle up ladies and gentleman, this one could get messy.
