After Steve "Sting" Borden sent out a tweet teasing next Monday's date and speculation ran rampant that he will make his long awaited WWE debut on this week's Monday Night RAW, it appears as though the former WCW and TNA icon will not be appearing on the company's flagship show.

Update On Roman Reigns' WWE Push

Sting took to his Twitter page and sent fans abuzz by hyping up next Monday night and revealing a picture of him in his classic black and white face paint along with the "7.14.14" date, but according to Wrestlingheadlines.com, he will likely not appear on RAW live from the Richmond Coliseum in Virginia this Monday.

After the initial buzz that Sting may make his WWE debut, it was reported that it was likely that he was teasing the announcement that he'd be in the WWE 2K15 video game on Monday, but that wasn't confirmed.

WWE Talents Reportedly Upset Over Pay

Speculation then arose that Sting may in fact appear on RAW to promote the WWE's United We Slam: Great American Bash DVD that is rich in WCW history and comes out this coming Tuesday, but it appears unlikely Sting will be on RAW and what he's hyping right now is a mystery.

There were rumors that Sting would face The Undertaker on April 6 at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans but it was then reported that the WWE was dragging its feet in closing out the deal with Sting and saw it as a "low priority" despite the fact that Sting really wanted to work with The Undertaker and was willing to train with him.

The Undertaker ended up facing and losing to Brock Lesnar, which ended The Streak and may have ended the "Dead Man's" career after he suffered a concussion during the match, casting doubt over his in-ring future with The Streak being over and 'Taker suffering an injury.

There have been rumors that Sting may face 'Taker at WrestleMania 31 in the Bay Area next March due to his California ties, but the status for The Undertaker is still unknown and he reportedly told some close friends he was doubtful to appear at the event.

There have also been rumors of Sting being inducted into the 2015 Hall of Fame but he has yet to sign a contract for whatever reason while something will likely be worked out by next March.

Sting is unlikely to appear on RAW, but it will be interesting to see what he has been teasing at on social media.
