Chris Jericho surprised the wrestling world by returning on Monday Night RAW on June 30, and he took Triple H's weekly spot by sitting down with Michael Cole to discuss his upcoming bout with Bray Wyatt at Battleground on July 20 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida among other topics.

Ric Flair Slated To Return On RAW

On top of talking about his band Fozzy and successful Talk is Jericho podcast, Jericho opened up about his interest in working with Wyatt.

"I've been watching him for a long time and seeing the evolution of Wyatt and his family even when he was down in NXT to see how much of an impact he's made here in the WWE it doesn't surprise me," Jericho said. "Because he's very different from anything we've ever seen before. A very unique character and he catches people's attention."

CM Punk To Appear On TV This Month

Jericho also talked about The Wyatt Family gimmick and how it comes off as real.

"It's kind of a creepy situation with those guys because I believe it," Jericho said. "What they're playing to me is, it's real. These guys really come from the swamps and they really are out there to do some mean things and evil things and of course leave it to me to come back with this big triumphant return and you know [I'm] triumphant over the Miz and give the Codebreaker to his money maker and then five seconds later get the crap kicked out of me by Bray Wyatt and his family."

Jericho said he was excited to return and be booked to beat The Miz only to have The Wyatt Family attack him.

"It's classic 'Y2J' the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, but I'm excited," Jericho said. "I like coming back to the WWE with a mission and my mission now is to face Bray Wyatt and to teach him a few lessons about how things work in the WWE just as he helped me to remember how things are done by attacking me and beating me down on my first night back."

Jericho also hyped his upcoming match with Randy Orton on Friday's SmackDown, which was taped Tuesday night.

"We've had our ups and downs and see things different ways and anytime you see yourself up on the wall against Randy Orton you know its gonna be a hard-hitting match, you know it's gonna be a good match and you know it's gonna be one that people are excited to see, and I'm excited to have it," he said."

Jericho also praised Orton and called him one of the "greatest of all-time."

"[Randy] is one of my favorites to watch and one of my favorites to work with and I'm really, really looking forward to getting back in there and seeing what happens with Orton and Jericho Part 97 or whatever it is," Jericho said.

It'll be a busy summer for Jericho as he gears up to face Randy Orton on SmackDown and Bray Wyatt at Battleground.
