Ex-Shield members Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins each recently did two separate interviews and discussed the breakup of the trio and what their goals are as they both prepare to continue their pushes as singles stars in the WWE.

The Shield dismantled last month when the WWE booked Rollins to turn on Reigns and Dean Ambrose by attacking them with steel chairs and the split sparked a singles push for all three members.

Rollins has since won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a contract good for a WWE World Heavyweight Championship shot within the next year while Reigns is already getting booked into main event opportunities and is expected to be pushed to the top of the card over the next year.

Monday Night RAW Preview And Possible Spoilers

Reigns spoke with Slam! Wrestling to promote Monday night's episode of RAW from the Bell Centre in Montreal and said that he believes The Shield could have been a trio long-term and could have still had plenty of juice left.

"I could have really seen The Shield closing down every single show for the next three years," Reigns said. "I think we had that ability and that we were that hot, I think it's an understatement that the vast majority of the fans loved The Shield. But we didn't have too many opponents left to face. Possibly the Wyatts, but you can't really go above Evolution, especially after beating them twice. Between myself, Dean and Seth, we're doing the exact same thing The Shield was doing, but we're doing it on our own now."

Reigns, who is booked for the main event of the upcoming Battleground pay-per-view on July 20 from the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida against WWE Champion John Cena, Kane and Randy Orton in a Fatal 4 Way for the gold, talked about his goals in the company.

"I always watch, learn, see what works and then make it my own and make it better than anybody would ever imagine it would be," said Reigns, who is rumored to headline next year's WrestleMania with Brock Lesnar. "I want to raise the bar, to be the actual best performer, to be the best man possible, to be the biggest WWE Superstar the world's ever seen. Those are my goals. I want to be the top guy, to run this company, to run the locker room and just make this product better in general."

Rollins, meanwhile, spoke with The Ottawa Sun to promote Tuesday's SmackDown tapings and he touched on how it felt to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the pay-per-view on June 29.

"It's crazy. It's very surreal. This is the goal, it's where we all want to be," Rollins told the paper. "I had to stop and absorb the moment - appreciate the sacrifices and time that were put into it. The cream always rises. I feel pretty good about where I am. It's a very awesome vote of confidence to be in this position, to be here two years after I started. Some may say it's quick, I say, for me it's right on schedule."

Rollins, who said that he and Ambrose were "good friends, better enemies" in the storylines right now, also talked about getting a reaction from the crowd.

"When we try to be booed or cheered, we're trying to garner attention. If you're getting no reaction, you're doing something wrong," Rollins said. "It's sure good go have them boo me."

With The Shield broken up, all of its members are now on their own and Reigns figures to be a major main event player while Rollins is already Mr. Money in the Bank.
