The WWE recently made several cuts on its roster as a way to trim down its budget and now it seems as though the company is scaling back on some WWE Network projects as a result of the ongoing attempts to cut costs.

Backstage News On Brock Lesnar Possibly Attending Battleground

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there is some doubt as to when and if there will be a Tough Enough season and another season of Legends' House after Vince McMahon made a decree that he wants $20 million taken out of the company's budget.

The company was slated to film a new season of Tough Enough, a reality show where competitors vie to win the competition and become a WWE Superstar, at the WWE Performance Center this past weekend but the plans for filming were pushed back until October.

Updated Plans For Chris Jericho After Returning To WWE

The company opted to change its plans on Thursday and to push it back due to the ongoing budget cuts. McMahon and the company released 10 Superstars, an announcer, a referee and a writer last month in an effort to make their budget more efficient, and the company intends to make some more changes soon.

Regarding Legends' House, which is a reality show that involves eight past WWE icons living under one roof, it is unknown if there will be a second season despite the first season that aired this year on the WWE Network being very popular.

It seemed as though the company was definitely going to do a second season, however now it seems that if one is even done at all it will also be delayed as Tough Enough was. There were also reports that people that are connected to filming the show were told that there will be no second season at all.

The original plans for the WWE called for Tough Enough to start filming this month and then Legends' House to be filmed right after Tough Enough wrapped, now it is doubtful that Legends' House will get another season while Tough Enough was pushed back to the fall.

This comes on the heels of McMahon reportedly calling for more budget cuts last week, leading to the belief that some more members of the roster may be let go.

McMahon has also recently scaled back on the company's ring crew and even cut down some of the pyrotechnics that the WWE is known to use.

In June, the WWE released Drew McIntyre, JTG, Jinder Mahal, Aksana, Curt Hawkins, Theodore Long, Camacho, Brodus Clay, Evan Bourne, Yoshi Tatsu and referee Mark Harris and then they released writer Jay Gibson a day later and announcer Josh Mathews at the end of the month.

While the WWE Network is another element of the company receiving cuts, it is possible that another binge of releases could also be coming soon.
