The Buffalo Bills have agreed to a two-year deal with former Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Saturday night. The deal is worth a maximum of $13 million.

The Bills' front office spent last weekend with Kolb and hosted the quarterback in Buffalo for a visit on Thursday and Friday. Kolb will likely compete for the starting quarterback position with Tarvaris Jackson, who re-signed a one-year contract earlier this offseason and has seen time under center with the Bills.

No other quarterback on Buffalo's roster currently has any experience starting. The Bills released former starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick earlier this month before signing with the Tennessee Titans.

Kolb was released by the Arizona Cardinals earlier this month after the sides were unable to reach an agreement on a restructured contract. Due to injuries and unsteady play, the former starter appeared in just six games with the Cardinals last season, throwing for 1,169 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions.
