Joel Embiid hasn't been in the NBA long and he isn't even expected to play this coming season, but give him credit for attempting to make the Philadelphia 76ers better. Embiid sent LeBron James a message on Twitter in an attempt to recruit the NBA’s best player to The City of Brotherly Love.

Embiid took a shot in the dark and sent James a very polite tweet with very little expectations of it even being acknowledged.

You have to give the man credit as he attempted to recruit the most high profile free agent of our time through social media. James isn't expected to join the 76ers and is expected to re-sign with the Miami Heat. Embiid has his head in the right place as the 76ers only won 19 games in 2013-14’ and earned the No. 3 overall pick in the NBA Draft.

Embiid is currently recovering from foot surgery and it is believed that the 76ers will not let him play in 2014-15’. Embiid’s draft stock was suppose to take a hit in light of his most recent surgery and even Embiid himself thought he was going to slip into the draft’s second round. The 76ers are expected to be better this coming season with reigning Rookie of the Year, Michael Carter-Williams and the expected debut of Nerlens Noel.
