Just two days removed from Money in the Bank, the WWE has already announced two big matches for the forthcoming Battleground pay-per-view on July 20 emanating from the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida. With two matches in the books, Sports World News will project what may be planned for the rest of the card.

Chris Jericho Slated To Stay In WWE Through September

The WWE announced that the main event will see newly crowned WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena battle Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Kane in a Fatal 4 Way Match for the gold. Also on the card will be an over-the-top-rope battle royal for the vacant Intercontinental Championship.

The IC title was vacated due to Bad News Barrett suffering a legitimate shoulder injury at last Tuesday's SmackDown tapings, creating the necessity for a new champion to be crowned. It was revealed on RAW that Cesaro, Kofi Kingston, The Great Khali and Damien Sandow will be in the match while more combatants will be announced as the weeks march on.

The Undertaker Remains Doubtful For WrestleMania 31

Other participants in the battle royal will likely include Rob Van Dam, Sheamus, Bo Dallas, Santino, Adam Rose, Big E, Alberto Del Rio, Sin Cara, Fandango, and Dolph Ziggler, among others.

It is possible given what happened on RAW, that Ziggler and Fandango partake in a mixed tag team match instead pitting Ziggler and Summer Rae against Fandango and Layla.

One feud that will most likely come to a head is the battle between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose as Ambrose is out for revenge after Rollins broke up The Shield and attacked him and Reigns with a steel chair last month, and there may be a stipulation added.

Given what transpired Monday night between Chris Jericho, The Miz and The Wyatt Family, the three parties will likely be involved with each other in some capacity, conceivably a Triple Threat between Jericho, Miz and Bray Wyatt.

Rusev and Lana got into it with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter on RAW, and it will likely spill over to Battleground with Swagger taking on Rusev one-on-one or even in a Flag Match.

It appears as though Luke Harper and Erick Rowan aren't done feuding with The Usos despite losing to them at Money in the Bank, and the WWE may decide to carry that feud into Battleground and there is even a possibility of Stardust & Goldust and Ryback & Curtis Axel being added to the mix to make it a Fatal 4 Way Tag Team Championship Match.

In Divas action, A.J. Lee's return to RAW and Divas Championship victory over Paige will likely lead to Paige invoking her rematch clause which would lead to a match at Battleground between the two..
