Chris Jericho shocked the WWE Universe on Monday night when he returned to the company on its flagship RAW program, and it appears as though "Y2J" is back in the organization until at least September.

Drew McIntyre Discusses WWE Release

Jericho returned Monday night and interrupted the Miz, who also came back from a hiatus. After a back-and-forth between the two, Jericho laid out the Miz with the Codebreaker. Jericho went to continue his promo before being surrounded by The Wyatt Family, possibly hinting toward a match between Jericho and Bray Wyatt at Battleground on July 20.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Jericho's return to WWE is not slated to be a short return as the company expects him to be around until at least September and he is figured into the creative storylines until Night of Champions on Sept. 21 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Backstage Plans On Roman Reigns

Jericho tried to swerve some of his fans on Twitter by posting photos indicating that he was with his family instead of preparing for a return to RAW.

Jericho has been high on Bray Wyatt for a while and said in an interview last year that Wyatt would be a main roster start within a year or two. Jericho has also said that he wanted to work with Wyatt back when he was in NXT. Jericho has always said he'd only return to the WWE for the right reasons, and perhaps he had some creative input in working with Wyatt.

Jericho battled Wyatt on the May 2, 2013 episode of NXT in a match where if Jericho lost he'd have to join The Wyatt Family, but he ended up getting the win. The WWE may build off of that storyline again this time around.

It is interesting to note that there had been rumors of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair managing The Miz, but Flair was not by his side last night and Miz came off as a heel instead of a babyface when it was speculated that Flair and Miz would be a babyface tandem.

Flair still may be in the Miz's corner at some point, but he wasn't by his side Monday night.

It'll be interesting to see how The Miz factors into Jericho's feud with The Wyatt Family.

It'll be an interesting summer now that Jericho has returned to the WWE and should be around for Battleground, SummerSlam, and Night of Champions
