The WWE has continued to map out its plans for the next three pay-per-views, which includes Battleground on July 20, SummerSlam on Aug. 17 and Night of Champions on Sept. 21, and Roman Reigns will play a big part in the plans going forward.

Update On Randy Orton And Daniel Bryan Injuries Coming Out Of MITB

It has been rumored that Reigns would be taking on Triple H at SummerSlam in part of a big double main event featuring that match and John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and while the Lesnar and Cena match will likely headline the show, Triple H vs. Reigns may not happen at SummerSlam.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that there have been some backstage discussions about moving the SummerSlam plans with Reigns and Triple H back to Night of Champions to have a big match planned out for that event in order to push WWE Network renewals for early subscribers at the six-month mark of their subscriptions.

Undertaker Remains Doubtful For WrestleMania 31

There are reports that Reigns will either face Orton at Battleground or SummerSlam, and if the WWE goes the route of having them square off at the August event, Reigns will face Kane at Battleground to build toward a match with Orton at SummerSlam

There were also rumors of the WWE having Orton win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank Sunday night to set up a triple threat match between Orton, Reigns and Cena at Battleground, but Cena ended up leaving Boston with his 15th World Championship.

A triple threat match between Orton, Cena and Reigns is still possible for the July event as Cena is expected to hang onto the gold for an eventual clash with Lesnar at SummerSlam and needs another match before Lesnar makes a return to television.

Following the breakup of The Shield, Reigns is slated to be groomed for the main event and the next couple of months should prove to be vital to his future in the business.

The WWE is playing around with a lot of different combinations, but Reigns, Orton, Cena and Triple H are likely set to carry the torch as the headliners of the pay-per-views through the summer and into the fall.
