Coming out of Sunday night's Money in the Bank 2014 pay-per-view, there is a grim update on Daniel Bryan's health while Randy Orton suffered a legitimate head injury in the eight-man Ladder Match main event during his unsuccessful pursuit of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Bryan had to forfeit the title after undergoing neck surgery, and there is still no timetable for his return. Bryan came out on the pre-show of Money in the Bank and told Michael Cole that he wasn't certain when he would be healthy enough to return to action.

Bryan said that the strength isn't coming back in his arm following the mid-May procedure and that doctors have spoken about possibly doing another surgery. It is expected that Bryan will tone down his style when he returns to the ring.

"I've got some bad news," Bryan said. "I don't know when I'm gonna be back, unfortunately. The strength hasn't come back in my arm and they're talking about doing another surgery. But I promise you that I will be back and when I'm back I will be better than ever."

Bo Dallas interrupted Bryan and said it must be a "pain in the neck" to not be able to compete and then Bryan said he should Bo-Leave the arena. Bryan had a standing ovation from the crowd upon his arrival, but unfortunately couldn't provide any good news.

Orton was busted open during the main event of the show when he was competing in a Ladder Match against John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Kane, Cesaro, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio, a match that eventually saw Cena capture the vacant title for his 15th WWE World Championship.

It's uncertain when exactly Orton suffered the injury or how it was done, but it is likely that his head hit one of the ladders. Orton took to his Twitter to share a photo of the wound and the news that he needed 12 staples to close the wound:

It was a memorable night for the WWE at Money in the Bank, but it wasn't a great night for everyone involved.
