The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly in trade discussions with multiple teams regarding backup quarterback Matt Flynn, sources told ESPN. One source told ESPN's Ed Werder that an agreement was imminent between Seattle and an unnamed team.

The Seahawks would be seeking draft picks for Flynn and were encouraged by the San Francisco 49ers' deal with the Kansan City Chiefs for quarterback Alex Smith. Similarly, both quarterbacks lost their starting jobs to emerging young quarterbacks, however, Smith has played significantly more during his career than Flynn.

Flynn signed as a free agent before Seattle drafted Russell Wilson, who won the starting role in preseason. Wilson led Seattle to the NFC Championship Game.

Among teams looking to fill a vacancy at quarterback are the Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals. However, a source confirmed to Werder that the Jaguars are not involved in pursuing Flynn.

Flynn's contract has him scheduled to make $5.25 million in base salary this season.
