It was reported earlier this week that Amazon leaked the cover of the SummerSlam 2014 DVD and that it depicted Brock Lesnar and John Cena across from each other, possibly spoiling the main event for the Aug. 17 event. The WWE is reportedly furious over the leak.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, WWE officials were very upset over the fact that Amazon leaked the DVD cover before the storylines had even been established. Amazon has since removed the DVD image featuring the two WWE Superstars, but the damage may have already been done.

It had been previously rumored that Lesnar would return for SummerSlam at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and take on Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship fresh off of defeating The Undertaker and ending The Streak at WrestleMania XXX on April 6 in New Orleans.

The plans were changed when Bryan underwent neck surgery that has healed slower than expected, causing the WWE to cancel a planned Stretcher Match between Bryan and Kane at Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view in Boston and to vacate the title and put it up for grabs in a Ladder Match instead.

It was then speculated that Cena would face Lesnar at SummerSlam and now that the DVD cover has leaked, it appears the WWE is going in that direction. That has led many to believe that Cena will defeat Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Kane, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at Sunday's pay-per-view and win the title.

The WWE is reportedly up in arms over the fact that a major development was leaked, and it remains to be seen if the company will opt to flip the script in order to swerve fans that saw the leak on the internet.

SummerSlam is the biggest event of the summer and second biggest pay-per-view of the year, and the company always likes to book a huge main event for the show, and Lesnar vs. Cena fits that description.

The WWE's plans could very well change, but after the leak of the DVD cover, it appears likely that Cena will win the belt on Sunday and go on to face Lesnar at August's SummerSlam.
