Former USC quarterback Matt Barkley threw in front of NFL scouts at the Trojans' pro day Wednesday for the first time since injuring his throwing shoulder in November. According to ESPNLA.com, 31 of the NFL's 32 teams, as well as 150 media members, attended the 45-minute throwing session.

"A lot of the proof is in the tape -- that's where they look first," Barkley told ESPN. "But today was proof that I can still throw and make those passes down the field."

Barkley opted not to work out during the Senior Bowl in January or the NFL scouting combine in February. Barkley impressed many interested in his progress, completing 55-of-60 attempts during the rehearsed passing display.

Barkley told ESPN that his shoulder "felt fine," while he garnered praise from star receiver and fellow NFL prospect Robert Woods. "He looked great," Woods said. "His balls were in great position. The ones he did overthrow were one step off, and that's just timing. His balls were right on the money. & (Velocity) was the same, maybe stronger."
