Within hours of potentially being the top player selected in the NBA draft, Jabari Parker has inked a deal to join Brand Jordan.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but ESPN reported the former Duke star has officially joined the likes of Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Ray Allen and Kawhi Leonard as NBA players representing Michael Jordan's brand.

"We could not be more excited to have Jabari Parker officially join our roster," said Larry Miller, president of the Nike owned Brand. "Jabari's character and commitment to excellence makes him a perfect fit with Jordan Brand and we are looking forward to building a legacy with him."

The son of former NBA journeyman Sonny Parker and a native Chicagoan, the 19-year-old Parker was born in 1995, just a few weeks before Jordan's most popular shoe, the Air Jordan XI, was famously launched.

Parker joins Dante Exum as the second player in this year's draft to already have a shoe deal in place; Exum recently signed with Adidas. This year's draft class is considered one of the strongest in years with Parker and Exum being joined as almost certain lottery picks by the likes of Andrew Wiggins, Julius Randle, Aaron Gordon, Joel Embiid, Marcus Smart, Noah Vonleh,Tyler Ennis and Doug McDermott.

Jordan starred for the Bulls from 1984 to 1998, winning six NBA titles in eight seasons and being named league MVP five times.
