Kobe Bryant insists he is more than willing to share his stage with both LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony.

With both superstar forwards having opted out of their deals and declared for free agency this week, Bryant on Thursday tweeted "they would be more than welcome to wear the Golden Armor #lakers #upgrade.

The Lakers are one of several teams rumored to be trying to clear salary cap space and gain enough financial flexibility to extend offers to both James and Anthony. The Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers are also reported to hold such interest.

Nursing a number of injuries, Bryant played in just six games last season, as the Lakers struggled to the franchise's worst record (27-55) in league history. Already this offseason, the 35-year-old Bryant has implored fans to flush the stench of last season away and has promised that next season will be "epic."

The Lakers parted ways with coach Mike D'Antoni at the end of the season and have yet to name a replacement for him, prompting some to to speculate the team has been particularly deliberate in their process because they plan to offer any free agents they might sign a chance to have a voice in deciding who the team actually hires.

Kobe Bryant cleared for workouts

Until then, former Laker Byron Scott has been rumored to be the leading candidate for the job, with the team having already interviewed him at least three different times. Lionel Hollins, Alvin Gentry and Mike Dunleavy Sr. are also rumored to have been interviewed.
