After considering retirement after the NBA Finals, Ray Allen is leaning toward returning to the NBA for a 19th season.

Multiple sources close to Allen believe the veteran will be back in the league and nothing has changed from when he spoke after Game 5 of the Finals.

"One thing is for certain, to [make a retirement decision] on my terms is the most important thing," Allen said. "Whether that is me retiring, staying here or going somewhere else, it will be on my terms. I've made it to this point, and I felt great that I have the choice to make it for myself.”

Allen is an unrestricted free agent and many believe that he will talk to, close friend, LeBron James before making his final decision. Allen and James became good friends over Allen’s two years in Miami and the two vacationed together after this past season.

Another option for Allen would be to the return to the franchise that became the Oklahoma City Thunder. Allen was a part of the Seattle Supersonics for five seasons before he departed for Boston and the franchise moved to Oklahoma City.

At this point in Allen’s career it is clear he is seeking championship rings and it is very likely following LeBron or going to the Thunder would give him a chance to add to his two titles. The 39-year-old Allen is expected to return, but it unknown where he will be taking his talents this offseason.
