Dion Waiters is convinced either he or All-Star guard Kyrie Irving will be traded this summer and never have the chance to play for new head coach David Blatt.

With rumors of friction between the two playing out throughout the season, FoxSports.com reported Waiters and his associates believe the team will look to deal one of their two up-and-coming backcourt stars in an effort to create better team chemistry.

Things reportedly became so contentious between Waiters and Irving last season that the two actually engaged in a locker room brawl with Irving walking away with a black-eye and a broken nose.

Several media outlets have also reported the Cavs could now be open to taking a top-10 pick in this week's NBA draft for the 22-year-old Waiters, who averaged 16 points, three rebounds and three assists last season. The Cavs already own the top pick in this year's draft, which will be highlighted by Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, Joel Embiid, Aaron Gordon, Dante Exum and Julius Randle.

Cleveland also secured the top overall pick in last year's draft, which the team used to select UNLV forward Anthony Bennett.

Irving and management have also been at odds much this offseason as the two debate the issue of whether the fourth-year guard is deserving of a max contract. Several media outlets have reported that the 22-year-old Irving has made no secret of his interest in playing closer to the New York City, where he grew up.
