Calm Down: James Family's Excitement Over Returning To Ohio Isn't Proof LeBron Is Leaving Miami [VIDEO]

Returning to their native Akron, Ohio, for the summer is an annual ritual for Heat star LeBron James, his wife, Savannah, and their two sons. The couple's excitement level increases every year at this time when it begins preparation for the trip home to Northeast Ohio.

This time around, however, Savannah James revealed her feelings Sunday on Instagram, posting a picture of the state of Ohio with a star indicating Akron's location. The picture was accompanied by the words: "Home sweet home!! The countdown is real! #330."

The area code for Akron is 330. No harm, no foul, right? Not quite. While Mrs. James was simply expressing her feelings about going home for the summer, the timing of the post couldn't have come at a worse time.

LeBron is seriously pondering free agency, and some folks are speculating that he will opt out of his current contract with Miami and return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he played for seven seasons. As a result, social media was abuzz as Heat and Cavs fans read too much into Mrs. James' post.

Heat fans began wondering aloud if the NBA's best player will jump ship after the thorough whipping the San Antonio Spurs handed their team in five games during this year's Finals. Cavs fans got a bit too excited also hoping the Akron native might have forgiven or forgotten their effigy burnings -- and team owner Dan Gilbert's harsh remarks - after James' decision in 2010 to take his 'talents' to South Beach.

Everyone, however, needs to just calm down! Savannah James' post had nothing to do with basketball, sources close to the family told ESPN.com NBA writer Brian Windhorst.

Anyone who's spent summers in Miami and Akron, Ohio, respectively, can relate to Savannah James' excitement. Summertime in Northeast Ohio can be fun: the weather there is beautiful during that time of year. The heat in Miami, no pun intended, can be treacherous during summer months. And Savannah James is going home; she too is an Akron, Ohio, native.

Besides, LeBron made it clear after the Finals that he intended to take his family on vacation before giving his future with the Heat any consideration.

James has until June 30 to decide whether he will opt out of the last two years of his contract with the Heat and become an unrestricted free agent. He is scheduled to make $20 million next season, ESPN.com reports.

LeBron and his wife are expecting their third child. Heat president Pat Riley revealed last week that the couple is expecting a girl. A lot of excitement exists in the James' household these days.

There is no telling what Savannah, or LeBron for that matter, might post on social media next, especially when their little girl arrives. And similar to this most recent post, it likely won't have anything to do with basketball, no matter how much diehard fans read into it.
