It has been rumored ever since WrestleMania XXX in April that Brock Lesnar will get a WWE World Heavyweight Championship shot at SummerSlam on Aug. 17 in Los Angeles, and the WWE has issued a survey which seems to confirm a title bout for Lesnar.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the WWE issued a survey to fans on their mailing list asking who Lesnar should face if he were to go after the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. Lesnar is slated to get a shot fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX.

The options for his opponent were all seven men in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match for the vacant title, including Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Cesaro, Randy Orton, John Cena, Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns.

There were rumors that the WWE was planning on going with a Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan match at the August event, but after Bryan had to undergo neck surgery last month and his timetable for a return to action being up in the air, the company has opted to vacate the title and put it on the line in the Ladder Match.

Bryan was originally slated to face Kane in a Stretcher Match at Money in the Bank and to hold the belt until SummerSlam, but with him being unable to compete this Sunday, the WWE had to put the title on the line in place of a contract for a title shot within the next year in the first Ladder Match and had to also create a second Ladder Match for the contract.

Lesnar was rumored to be slated to go over Bryan at SummerSlam because he is under contract until the next month's Night of Champions pay-per-view, where he was expected to lose the title back to Bryan.

Now with Bryan sidelined, a new champion will be crowned on Sunday and the favorite to win is now Cena despite the fact that early plans called for a heel to win and Cesaro was slated as the favorite before the match was turned into a title match.

It is likely that Cena will win the Ladder Match and go on to face Lesnar at SummerSlam.

The WWE also has plans for Goldust and Cody Rhodes, who debuted his Stardust gimmick last week. According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, if Rhodes gets over as Stardust, he and Goldust will receive a WWE Tag Team Championships shot at SummerSlam but if it doesn't get over, the WWE will have them square off one on one at the summer event.

The tag titles are on the line Sunday at Money in the Bank as The Usos defend the gold against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.

While nothing is set in stone, the WWE is continuously mapping out its plans for the summer.
