Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose is said to be more enamored with the prospect of playing with All-Star forward Kevin Love than sharing the ball with New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony.
According to New York Daily News, sources close to Kevin Love believe that Rose wants the Bulls to work out a deal for Love as soon as possible because "he sees Love as more of a team player than Anthony."
The Bulls are being mentioned as a possible destination for Anthony, who is expected to opt out of his contract and become a free agent by July 1. And there's also a chance that the Bulls can nab Love via free agency next year, but that would only be possible if they don't get the services of Melo.
Mitch Lawrence of NY Daily News adds: "Chicago is in the mix with Golden State for Love, with Boston and Denver considered long shots. If it makes any difference to Melo, Rose has no plans to recruit Love, who is free next summer, either. But the Bulls already know whom he'd really prefer to play with in the future."
Rose, the former MVP who has been sidelined the past two years, is said to have recovered from his injuries. The Bulls are an attractive destination for stars like Melo and Love because of its roster that includes reigning Defensive Player of the Year Joakim Noah and the defense-first approach of coach Tom Thibodeau.
