Hope Solo Arrested: Allegedly Assaults Sister, Nephew at Family Gathering [VIDEO]

Former United States women's Olympic soccer goalie Hope Solo was arrested Saturday morning on two counts of domestic violence. Police are still investigating the matter.

The incident occurred at Solo's home in Kirkland, Wash., where she allegedly struck her sister and nephew, according to police. Solo was taken to a South King County jail. She is currently being held without bail.

The Seattle Times reported the news earlier on Saturday.

Police were called to the home after Solo, 32, got into an argument with relatives during a family gathering.

"There was a big party going on at her house. It was an out-of-control situation," Kirkland police lieutenant Mike Murray told the paper. "At some point during the party, Solo allegedly assaulted her sister and her nephew.

"There were visible injuries on them."

Solo shares the residence with her husband, former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens. During a nine-year pro career, Stevens played for the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Solo, a goalkeeper for the Seattle Reign FC of the National Women's Soccer League, was allegedly the victim of an assault in November 2012 by her then-boyfriend Stevens. Solo suffered an injury to an elbow during the incident.

Stevens was arrested but released within hours due to lack of evidence. Shortly thereafter, Stevens and Solo were married.

Solo won Olympic gold medals in 2008 and 2012 as a member of the U.S. women's soccer team.
