Georgia Bulldogs running back Todd Gurley’s full potential has yet to be seen as he missed three games in 2013, but somehow he managed to top 1,000 yards rushing. Gurley has a chance to not only re-establish the running game in football, but take home the Heisman trophy as well.

Georgia coach Mark Richt believes that Gurley is the best running back to come through Georgia’s doors in the 15 years he has been there.

"You know, there's been some good ones," Richt told Bleacher Report's Barrett Sallee. "I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings, but this guy [Gurley], I'll just say, he is a very special talent."

Gurley will have his chance to show his true potential in 2014 and will have a solid Georgia team behind him. Gurley’s Heisman chances live and die on his ability to stay healthy and play through the bumps and bruises he is bound to take throughout the year. Gurley has the ability to run for 1,500 yards or more this season and could add another 500 through the air as he his known to be a part of the Georgia passing game as well.

Gurley will be the focal point of the Georgia offense and, if he can surpass his stellar freshman season, he will run away with the Doak Walker Award while putting himself in contention for the Heisman.

Gurley is projected to be a high first round pick in the 2015 NFL draft, but due to the drafts recent disrespect of the running back position it is unknown where he could be slotted in future mock drafts.
