Aaron Hernandez News: Warrant To Search Hernandez Mansion Invalid? [VIDEO]

Attorneys for former NFL star Aaron Hernandez are taking issue with the validity of a search warrant obtained last June to search his home in connection with the execution style killing of one-time associate Odin Lloyd.

During a Wednesday morning court appearance in Fall River, Mass., lawyers for the one-time New England Patriots tight end questioned the soundness of the warrant issued to a state trooper and executed at Hernandez's North Attleborough mansion.

According to FoxNews.com, in filing for the warrant used to search Hernandez's North Attleborough home defense attorneys allege police claimed to be hunting for GPS related evidence but in the actual affidavit no such claim is made.

The 24-year-old Hernandez has been held without bail and confined to solitary confinement at the Bristol County Jail since last June. Police have speculated he may have killed Lloyd because of his knowledge about other violent crimes he is suspected of having been involved in.

Aaron Hernandez to be arraigned

Hernandez has also been charged in the 2012 drive-by slaying of two men outside a downtown Boston nightclub. Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado both died in a hail of bullets following an early-morning dispute allegedly sparked after one of the men accidentally spilled a drink on Hernandez and failed to apologize.

Since being incarcerated, Hernandez has also been criminally charged with threatening to kill a prison guard and his family. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty in both shootings and is slated to reappear in court in the Boston case on June 24.
