Will the WWE finally induct the Macho Man into the Hall of Fame?

Rumors are swirling that the WWE will finally make this move next year, with the late Randy Salvage heading to the Hall of Fame after years of being snubbed.

Rajah.com is reporting that the WWE is in fact working on a new DVD/Blue-Ray project for the late WWE great. The said documentary will have participation from Savage's brother and former WWE Superstar 'The Genius" Lanny Poffo.

Reportedly, the Macho Man will headline next year's batch of Hall of Famers alongside The Rock, Kevin Nash, Rikishi, and either Victoria or Mickie James.

The Macho Man is perhaps the second most recognizable star in the WWE during the 80's being the second banana to Hulk Hogan. While he may have been a lesser star compared to the Hulkster, it cannot be denied that he was a better talent in the ring. He was a two-time WWF champion and one-time Intercontinental Champion.

In 1994, the Macho Man bolted to the rival World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and this may have led to the bitter feud he had with his former boss, Vince McMahon. It can be remembered that the WWE then aired comedy skits on their TV programs featuring a character named 'The Nacho Man' in obvious reference to Savage.

Almost all of his contemporaries are now in the Hall of Fame, including Hogan, the late Ultimate Warrior, Jake the Snake, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Ric Flair. Now if the reports are true, we might just see the Macho Man's name in the WWE Hall of Fame.
