There are a lot of questions over which jersey Martin Brodeur will don next season, but wherever the New Jersey Devils franchise goalie ends up, the future Hall of Famer intimated it is likely to be the final year he suits up in an NHL crease.

Crazy Stories About The Stanley Cup

When talking about his future, Brodeur, 42, said that he's not sure where he'll be playing next season and he said that the 2014-15 campaign is "probably going to be" his last NHL season.

Brodeur is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason and he noted that he plans on testing the free agent market and could wear a jersey that doesn't have a Devils logo on it for the first time in his career.

Stanely Cup Final Preview and Predictions

"I'm going to give myself the opportunity to look at what's out there and see if there's something that's interesting to me," Brodeur told The Record. "It doesn't mean it's not going to be in New Jersey, but I'm going to look everywhere."

Brodeur missed out on most of his playing time for New Jersey this season to Cory Schneider, 28, but he did appear in 39 games and post a 19-14-6 record, with a .901 save percentage and a 2.51 goals-against average.

Brodeur has three Stanley Cups on his resume, and backstopped the Devils to an unsuccessful Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2012, but New Jersey has failed to make the postseason over the last two seasons. The Devils acquired Schneider from the Vancouver Canucks during the 2013 NHL Draft, limiting Brodeur's playing time.

Brodeur can't start talking to teams until June 25 and he can't sign a new deal with the Devils or any other team until free agency opens on July 1.

The Devils netminder is the NHL's all-time leader in regular season wins (688), regular season shutouts (124) and playoff shutouts (24) among other records. In his career, Brodeur is 688-394-154 with a 2.24 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.

He's amounted all of that success with the Devils, but after July 1 he may be padding his numbers with another team in what could prove to be his final season.
