It has been reported that there was a casting call for a Steve "Sting" Borden body double and an orchestra that would wear his makeup, and while it has nothing to do with any sort of impending debut, the WWE is reportedly angry that the casting call leaked.

Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar Still Planned For SummerSlam

A company affiliated with the WWE in some capacity sent out a casting call to get a body double and orchestra that would mime playing instruments while music was dubbed over for some sort of Sting music video, and the leaks of the casting call have drawn the ire of WWE officials.

When the rumors first surfaced, it was believed that the agency running the ads was with the WWE and that Sting may make his debut next Monday on RAW, however it has since been reported that the agency in fact works with WWE licenses and it was being done for Sting's upcoming DVD and other future projects.

'Stone Cold' Steve Austin Talks Comeback, CM Punk

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, WWE officials are upset about the leak due to the fact that they don't have Sting officially under contract yet. The outside company didn't believe that issuing the casting call would turn into such a big deal among fans on the internet, but it has snowballed.

Sting's contract talks with the WWE have been moving slow as it was reported that the WWE was dragging its feet around WrestleMania XXX time in regards to inking the former WCW and TNA icon to a deal. Sting then apparently had an agreement in place with the WWE and the company sent him a contract, but he has yet to sign the dotted line.

There were reports Sting would face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, but the company chose to put Brock Lesnar in the match instead. Lesnar won the match on April 6 and ended The Streak. Considering 'Taker lost The Streak and was injured during the contest, it is possible that he may retire without ever facing Sting.

There could be a possible scenario where Sting takes on 'Taker at WrestleMania 31 next year, but 'Taker's status is in question and Sting still hasn't officially signed. There were plans for Sting to come in and do something at WrestleMania 31 due to his California ties and it being in the Bay Area, but it is now Sting dragging his feet about signing. There were also talks of Sting being inducted in the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class.

Sting has yet to appear in a WWE ring in his career and he's been the one ex-WCW star that Vince McMahon hasn't been able to land, though Sting is slated to do some WWE Network and DVD projects and has already appeared on the WWE Network.

It remains to be seen when he'll sign, but the fact that the casting call for Sting has gotten out has seemed to upset some WWE officials.
